The Must-Have Fashion Accessories For AW18

The Must-Have Fashion Accessories For AW18 / Blog Simplicity in Vogue / @ByAndreaB - fashion, style, fashion trends, shoes trends, footwear trends, accessories trends, jewellery trends, fall fashion, modest fashion blogger, lifestyle blogger

With each change of season comes a change in fashion trends. One day it’s all about the floral or geometric prints, and jumpsuits and the next, all of a sudden as if overnight, winter has arrived. It’s amazing how quickly the weather changes and with it comes a new season - now that it’s the end of October, it’s well and truly the middle of fall for all my friends in the northern hemisphere and soon enough it will be winter.

As the weather gets increasingly colder, it’s important to think about how you will change up your wardrobe this season. While some people opt to overhaul their entire wardrobes as each season comes around, this can be extremely expensive and isn’t doable for everyone, which is why another good option is to choose to update your wardrobe with a range of accessories instead.

You might not realize it but when it comes to updating your wardrobe, accessories can work wonders. To help guide you through the process of using accessories to update your look this season, below are some tips and pieces of advice to take note of.

Invest in a couple of stylish scarves

Scarves are, without a doubt, one of the best accessories to have as they can really bring a look together. They can also help to ensure that your wardrobe remains on trend, as a simple scarf can have a huge impact on an outfit and how on trend it appears, even if the main components are actually from a different season.

When selecting scarf designs, take into account the styles that are on trend this season. The main ones to take note of are mustard tones, reds, and animal prints - once again cheetah and zebra prints have come back in, especially where the print is well blended into the material, such as having a red scarf with black leopard print on it.

Take jewelry seriously

A mistake that many people make when it comes to seasonal fashion is thinking that jewelry isn’t a useful accessory when that isn’t the case. It can actually be an extremely useful accessory, it’s just a case of knowing how to use it effectively, that’s all.

A simple way to use jewelry to accessorise a look is to purchase a statement piece from somewhere like Blue Nile (https://diamondexpert.com/blue-nile-review/) and incorporate it into your look. It's important to invest in quality pieces if you want to have it for many years. A statement necklace can work well, as can bright, bold bracelets and earrings too.
Earrings are often undervalued as an accessory, but if you select the right designs these can make fantastic accessories.

Get your footwear spot on

When it comes to your footwear, if you’re updating your shoe collection, it’s essential that you are considerate of what’s on trend. Think carefully about what’s currently seen as being on trend, such as what patterns and styles of shoe, but always remember to respect your own personal style.

Like every colder season, there are certain footwears that come into style every year, such as ankle boots and knee high boots, for instance. The best way to determine what’s more on trend is to look at what styles are being sold everywhere or what people are wearing on Instagram, for example - this will give you an idea of what’s most stylish at moment and what might look good on you. It’s also important to think about the footwear that would work well with the outfits that you already have in
your wardrobe.
