How to style // olive green dress

modest fashion, kaftan, hijab, turban, ootd

It's not a surprise for who already read my blog that I love neutral colours and earth tones, especially in my clothes. It's easy to wear and to mix and match with other garments and accessories, and you'll always look elegant. I found this olive green kaftan at H&M, in London, almost a year ago and it was love at first sight. First, I loved that it was perfectly modest for me to wear and even, reminds a bit an abaya (Islamic wear); second, the fabric is a soft jersey so good to the touch and comfortable; Third, there is something about it that is so effortless chic.

If I'm not wrong there were another 2 colours options of the same dress. And I'm not gonna lie, I almost bought all of them. But, thank God, nowadays I have so much more self-control when I go shopping. I try to stick to the things that I really need and really like. From the three colours available, the olive green (AKA khaki green) was the one that really spoke to my heart. It looks great paired with black, beige, nude and shades of brown, and incredibly sophisticated with gold jewellery. Even, if you are wearing flat sandals like me. Which makes a perfect balance of elegance and comfort that every minimalist will love.
